The Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations is designed for students who want to learn about international relations, including politics and economics. The main goal is to equip students with analytical tools and professional skills that will prepare them for the constantly changing international job market. This program emphasizes the importance of being able to work in multilingual environments and adapt to different disciplines.
Students should be motivated to improve their English language skills, as some classes and seminars will be taught in English. They will also receive training on giving presentations in English. Proficiency in English is a minimum requirement for a career in international relations, and knowledge of other languages like Chinese or Japanese can greatly enhance job prospects.
Starting from the second year, candidates must reach a B2 level of English proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Alternatively, they can fulfill this requirement by completing at least 18 credits of English courses related to their field of study. In addition, if students want to study French or German as foreign languages for international relations, it would be advisable to be able to demonstrate a proficiency level of A2 for French and A1 for German.
Lastly, students should have good information management and communication skills, as well as proficiency in using information and communication technologies (ICT).
